The main objective of the SEA-EU-NET project, presently supported by 17 key S&T institutions in Southeast Asia and Europe is to increase the quality, quantity, profile and impact of bi-regional Science and Technology (S&T) cooperation between the ten member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Member- and Associated States of the European Union (EU).
The project is intended to support the internationalisation policy of the EU, and in particular the specific objectives of the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7) of EU, but also to contribute to the S&T foundation essential to the EU’s political, economic and social objectives.
The SEA-EU-NET project will deliver a wide range of measures to increase SEA-EU cooperation amongst academic, industrial and government stakeholders. In addition to current partner institutions it also encourages additional SEA partners to join the consortium in the future.
